Pacific Palisades: So, there was this wild scene over the weekend. Two guys got arrested, and one of them was dressed like a firefighter. They were caught by L.A. County deputies on Pacific Coast Highway.

A local photographer spotted them on a scooter and a moped. The guy in the fireman outfit had on fire boots, jeans, and a yellow jacket that had the old Cal Fire logo on it. Pretty bold, right?

Eric Fox, the photographer, said he saw them riding up the highway. He was just about to report them when deputies swooped in and detained the pair.

The arrests were made by deputies from the Santa Clarita Station who were helping out with the Palisades Fire. They had some backup from CHP and national guardsmen at a checkpoint.

Photos show the two in handcuffs outside the Getty Villa, while deputies searched them. Sheriff’s officials even shared an image of the arrest on social media.

No word yet on who these guys are or if they had any stolen stuff on them. Meanwhile, about 50 miles away, firefighters caught an arsonist starting fires in Irwindale.

In Santa Monica, things are heating up too, with 39 arrests in evacuation zones recently. Ten of those folks had burglary tools.

L.A. County’s District Attorney is expected to announce charges soon for several recent arson and looting suspects.
