A man was arrested for allegedly igniting a bushfire in San Bernardino, which scorched over 30 acres before being contained.

San Bernardino: A man was taken into custody for allegedly starting a brushfire that spread across more than 30 acres. This happened on Wednesday afternoon, according to local police.
The fire kicked off around 2 p.m. near Little Mountain Drive and Edgehill Drive. It’s been a tough time for the area, with wildfires wreaking havoc in Los Angeles and nearby regions.
Luckily, no buildings were damaged, and there were no injuries reported during this brief fire, as stated by the San Bernardino police.
The blaze burned about 34 acres, but firefighters managed to stop it around 3:30 p.m., according to the San Bernardino County Fire Department.
The suspect faces two felony charges, including reckless burning, but his identity hasn’t been revealed yet.
This arrest follows a recent trend, as Los Angeles authorities nabbed four individuals for arson in the past week, trying to spark new fires outside the wildfire zones.
Firefighters have been working hard to control numerous wildfires in the area, with the most severe ones occurring in LA County, which have devastated over 37,000 acres.
Sadly, more than 10,000 homes and businesses have been lost, and at least 25 lives have been claimed during these historic wildfires.
