Carrie Underwood is set to perform at Donald Trump’s inauguration on January 20 in Washington D.C.
A political reporter shared a sneak peek of the program, and it’s all set for January 20 at the U.S. Capitol. She’ll be joined by the Armed Forces Chorus and the U.S. Naval Academy Glee Club, which sounds pretty cool.
Underwood will take the stage right after JD Vance gets sworn in as Vice President and before Trump takes the Presidential Oath. Trump’s team confirmed her performance, so it’s official!
You might remember that Jennifer Lopez sang “America the Beautiful” at Biden’s inauguration in 2021. And back in 2017, the Tabernacle Choir performed the same song when Trump was first sworn in.
Underwood has kept her political views pretty private since Trump started his campaign in 2016. She mentioned in an interview that she tries to stay out of politics because it’s a messy game.
She grew up in Oklahoma, a state that leans Republican, but she feels like people often try to label her politically.
