Chicago: So, it looks like Chicagoans are in for a chilly week ahead. The National Weather Service says we’re talking single digit temps with hardly any snow.

On Sunday, we might see some snow wrapping up by the afternoon. It started early, around 4:45 a.m., and could leave us with about 1 to 2 inches. There’s a chance of a little more snow on Wednesday night, but after that, it’s mostly dry until Friday night.

Monday and Tuesday are going to be the coldest, with daytime highs around 18 to 19 degrees. But at night? We’re dipping into the single digits. Tuesday night is expected to be the coldest, with wind chills hitting between 5 and 10 below zero. Out in the suburbs, it could feel even colder, like 15 below.

The good news is that things should warm up a bit after Tuesday, getting back to around 30 degrees by Thursday.

Oh, and don’t forget! Chicagoans can vote in the “You Name a Snowplow” contest until January 21. Some fun names in the running this year include “Adler Plowatarium” and “Snow Way Jose.” Make sure to cast your vote!
