A youth basketball coach in Connecticut faces charges after allegedly hitting a parent with his car following a heated argument over a game.

There’s even a video that shows the whole thing. It’s pretty shocking. The 29-year-old coach reportedly drove his car right into the parent on Saturday morning at the Horace W. Porter School. The police have confirmed this.
The impact was so hard that the parent flew over the hood and landed on the concrete. Thankfully, the injuries were visible but not life-threatening, and the parent was taken to the hospital.
Baez-Rivera didn’t just stop there. He’s also facing charges for breach of peace, risk of injury to a minor, and reckless endangerment. Apparently, he and the parent were shouting at each other after the game, and things escalated quickly.
The parent approached him after the game, but Baez-Rivera allegedly hit them on purpose when the conversation got heated. The victim even tried to chase him down as he was leaving.
After the incident, Baez-Rivera called the police, claiming the parent was chasing him and walked right in front of his car. He said he left the scene because he was worried about his safety and the kids in his car.
But the security footage tells a different story. It shows the parent trying to block his car, and Baez-Rivera didn’t slow down at all. He just kept driving and hit the parent before speeding off.
He was arrested without any fuss and released on a $5,000 bond. This incident comes just a month after another youth basketball coach got arrested for hitting a referee during a tournament in Pennsylvania. What a mess!
