Police have released images of suspects involved in a deadly robbery at a Queens casino targeting a smoke shop

Queens: A group of robbers shot two men during a raid on an illegal casino last month. They were actually after a smoke shop upstairs and made off with several pounds of marijuana.
The NYPD has shared surveillance images of the suspects involved in this brazen heist. It all went down around 9 p.m. at a casino on Haight St. near 41st Ave. The robbers entered, brandished guns, and demanded cash and cellphones from the crowd.
After robbing the victims, they headed upstairs to the smoke shop to grab as much weed as they could carry. Sadly, during the chaos, one of the crooks shot 37-year-old Yun Li in the head, and a 42-year-old man was hit in the face.
They made their getaway in a black Dodge Durango and a gray Nissan Pathfinder. Yun Li was rushed to New York-Presbyterian Hospital Queens but tragically died the next day. The older victim managed to get to the hospital on his own and was treated for his injuries.
Residents in Flushing say illegal gambling spots are common, but violence is rare. One local cabinet maker mentioned that while underground gambling rooms are known, shootings like this don’t usually happen.
As the hunt for the robbers continues, police are urging anyone with information to reach out to Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS. They promise that all calls will be kept confidential.
