Cameron Duke, Edgewater’s successful football coach, is departing for Marietta High School in Georgia after eight impactful seasons

Duke really turned things around at Edgewater. When he started in 2016, the team was 0-10. Fast forward to now, and he’s got an impressive record of 85-14, plus two trips to the state championship.
He shared his goodbye in a heartfelt letter to his players and staff. Duke expressed how much he cherished his time there, saying it was one of the greatest honors of his life. He thanked everyone for their support and dedication.
Beyond football, Duke made a real impact on his players’ lives. He took them on a mission trip to Guatemala and even organized a trip to England to play against the NFL Europe Academy, which they won 51-45.
In his letter, he told his players how proud he was of them and emphasized that football was just a platform for something bigger. He also thanked his coaching staff and the entire Edgewater community for their unwavering support.
It’s a bittersweet moment for Duke, but he’s excited for this new chapter in Georgia.
