Feds Uncover Crime Spree Behind Brutal Seminole Carjacking and Murder

U.S. Attorney Roger Handberg spoke about the community’s fears, saying this wasn’t just some random act of violence. Katherine was specifically targeted, and her murder was linked to a crime story that started back in 2020.

Recently, one of the guys involved, Kevin Omar Ocasio Justiniano, pleaded guilty to several charges. He’s one of nine people facing serious federal charges, including drug trafficking and carjacking. Just days after Katherine’s murder, several suspects were arrested, and more names have come up since then.

Katherine was carjacked after picking up a huge amount of cash, and investigators say she was taken to a construction site, shot multiple times, and then set on fire in her SUV. It’s chilling to think about how violent this all was.
