Bolton: So, it’s been a bit of a soggy situation in Bolton lately. Heavy rain on New Year’s Eve has led to several flood warnings in the area.

Two parts of the town are under serious flood warnings, while other areas are on alert. This means flooding could happen, but it’s not a sure thing.

River levels are pretty high at Lilford Park in Leigh, and some properties near The Avenue to Peregrine Drive are at risk.

Flooding is expected to hit spots near the Lilford Park Brook, especially low-lying land and roads. If you live around there, keep an eye out.

There’s also a flood warning for the River Douglas at Wigan, affecting areas from Robin Park to Baker Street and Poolstock.

High-risk zones include places near the River Douglas, like Eleanor Street, the Bus Depot, and the Robin Park area.

Other parts of Bolton and Greater Manchester are also on alert, especially around the Lower River Irwell and River Glaze catchments.

So, if you’re in those areas, stay safe and be prepared. It’s always better to be cautious!
