Cindy Cancilla, owner of Flowers by Cindy, is retiring and looking for someone to take over her beloved floral business in Glen Rock.

Glen Rock: Cindy Cancilla started Flowers by Cindy back in 2011. It began as a fun hobby and a way to give back to her community.
Cindy’s love for flowers goes way back. She used to pick wildflowers as a kid and arrange them for her parents. After winning ribbons at the county fair, a local florist took her under their wing.
While teaching special education, she juggled her passion for flowers by making arrangements at home. As she neared retirement, she wanted to do something meaningful for her community.
In 2011, she opened her shop in downtown Glen Rock. When she outgrew that space, her brother helped her find a new spot in a strip mall. They built the business from the ground up, and even her mom joined in to help.
Now, as she prepares to retire, everything in the shop is on sale. She serves local churches and businesses, creating arrangements for all sorts of occasions, especially Mother’s Day.
Cindy has loved every moment of running her shop. She’s proud of the community connections she’s made and the joy her flowers bring. As she looks back on her journey, she’s ready to pass the torch to someone who shares her passion.
She’s announced her retirement plans early to focus on creating beautiful arrangements for upcoming holidays. It’s a bittersweet moment for her, but she’s excited for what’s next.
