Orlando: Four restaurants in Central Florida were shut down last week due to health inspection failures. The Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation reported these closures for the week of January 5-11.

The Madras Cafe in Orlando was shut down on January 7 after inspectors found 45 violations, including flying insects and roach activity. They returned the next day and found more issues but eventually cleared the restaurant to reopen.

Tawa Orlando also faced closure on January 8, with 27 violations, including rodent activity and improperly stored medicine. A follow-up inspection revealed even more violations, but they were given time to address the problems.

In Titusville, Wendy’s 2453 was shut down on January 7 due to flying insects and sewage issues. A second inspection showed fewer problems, and they met the standards to reopen.

Lastly, Chef B Good Food in Palm Bay was closed on January 8 after inspectors found a live rodent and droppings. They returned the next day and only found one minor issue, allowing the restaurant to reopen.

Orange County had the highest number of complaints in Central Florida, with 38 reported, followed by Volusia with 23.
