Frank Cassella shares progress on The Mirage’s transformation into Hard Rock Las Vegas

Las Vegas: So, the Nevada Gaming Control Board just gave a thumbs up for Frank Cassella, the senior VP of finance for HR Las Vegas LLC. They’re the ones taking over The Mirage and turning it into Hard Rock Las Vegas.
Cassella filled everyone in on how things are going with the transition. Right now, they’re deep into the demolition phase, and that iconic Mirage volcano? Yep, it’s already gone.
He mentioned that if you drive by, you’ll see the front area is all construction. They’ve even started putting up pylons for a new guitar tower that’s going to be over 700 feet tall and have 650 suites. It’s a complete makeover for the 3,000-room Mirage Tower, including the casino and pool areas, plus they’re adding another pool for the guitar tower.
As for Cassella, he’s busy with budgeting and planning for the opening, which is set for 2027. He’ll be in charge of all finance operations, just like he was for The Mirage.
