Birmingham: Katherine Webb is back and feeling great about it! After nearly a decade away from the limelight, she’s ready to step out again.
She’s married to former NFL quarterback AJ McCarron and has no regrets about taking a break. That pause came after her life changed during the 2013 BCS Championship Game, where she became an internet sensation.
Remember that moment when ESPN’s Brent Musburger couldn’t stop raving about her? It turned her into a household name and kicked off a successful modeling career.
Now 35, Katherine took time off to focus on family and deal with some negative press that painted her in a bad light. In a recent chat, she shared how social media made things tough for her.
“I was one of the top five most Googled people that year,” she said. “I just didn’t like how I was being portrayed.” So, she decided to step back and focus on her family.
After marrying AJ in 2014, they welcomed three boys together. While AJ played in the NFL and now the XFL, Katherine got her real estate license and started a business. She wanted something stable, especially after having kids.
“We opened a real estate company and are selling residential properties,” she explained. “It made sense to do something separate from my social media presence.”
Now, she’s ready for a comeback! Katherine is open to modeling again, even runway shows. “If an agency called me for a fashion show, I’d jump at it,” she said.
She’s also planning to share more beauty and fashion content online while running her real estate business. Plus, she’s picked up golf to spend time with AJ.
As for AJ, he’s exploring new opportunities too. He’s excited about coaching their kids and has plans for a podcast. They’re both looking forward to what’s next!
