Las Vegas is one step closer to hosting a future college football championship game at Allegiant Stadium, boosting tourism and excitement.

They’ve set aside a whopping $40 million for everything from marketing to security. That’s a mix of $25 million upfront and another $15 million just in case they need it. Pretty smart, right?
Steve Hill, the head honcho at the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, will be the one to seal the deal with the College Football Playoff folks.
If it all goes through, we’re talking about a game that could pull in over 70,000 fans and create a ton of hotel bookings. It’s a win-win for the city!
Since Allegiant Stadium opened in 2020, Las Vegas has been the place to be for major events. They’ve already hosted a Super Bowl, the NFL Draft, and even an NHL All-Star game. And there’s more to come, like WrestleMania and the NCAA men’s basketball Final Four in 2028.
If they land this college football championship, Las Vegas would join an elite group of cities that have hosted a Super Bowl, a college championship, and the Final Four.
For now, the current championship game is happening in Atlanta, but who knows? Las Vegas might just be next!
Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting development!
