Phil Foden acknowledges the challenges ahead for Manchester City after their title hopes fade

Manchester: Phil Foden is keeping his chin up despite Manchester City’s recent struggles. He knows the title race is pretty much over, but there’s still a lot to fight for this season.
After a tough match against Brentford, where City let a 2-0 lead slip away, Foden admitted that their chances of winning a fifth straight Premier League title are gone. He said, “We’re not stupid,” acknowledging the reality of the situation.
City had a chance to close the gap on Liverpool but ended up with just four wins in their last 17 games across all competitions. Foden pointed out that while the title is out of reach, they still have their sights set on finishing in the top four and making a push in the Champions League.
He mentioned that qualifying for the last-16 of the Champions League is looking tough, but they still have matches against Paris St-Germain and Club Brugge to aim for. Foden is determined to keep the season alive and not let it slip away completely.
Despite the setbacks, he believes the team is improving. They’ve had their fair share of injuries, which has stretched the squad thin, but Foden insists they can’t use that as an excuse. He’s hopeful that they can learn from their mistakes and get back on track.
Foden remains optimistic, saying, “At least the performances are picking up.” He’s looking forward to the challenges ahead and believes there’s still plenty to play for.
