Manchester United’s rivals believe Sir Jim Ratcliffe is set to sell key players in January to improve financial stability

According to The Telegraph, these players could be on the market in the next three weeks, not waiting until the end of the season. This way, United can avoid a last-minute scramble before the June 30 deadline.
Rival clubs are already showing interest. Chelsea seems to have their eye on Mainoo, while Arsenal has been linked to Rashford in the past.
Even though United hasn’t faced any charges this week regarding the PSR, their financial situation could get tricky if they don’t qualify for the Champions League. Selling Mainoo, Garnacho, and Rashford could be smart moves since they’re all homegrown talents, meaning they could bring in pure profit.
Mainoo and Rashford have been with United their whole careers, while Garnacho joined from Atletico for a small fee back in 2020. This news comes after reports that four players lost their ‘untouchable’ status at the club recently.
In the summer, under Erik ten Hag, Mainoo, Garnacho, Andre Onana, and Rasmus Hojlund were the only players deemed off-limits for transfers. But things have changed with Ruben Amorim now at the helm.
Mainoo’s future seems uncertain, especially after the club’s recent contract offer left him feeling unhappy. Still, United insists they want him to stay and aren’t trying to push him out.
