Violet Davis, a beloved Padgate resident, turns 100 this weekend, surrounded by family and friends who cherish her vibrant spirit

After finishing school at 14, she worked at Bennetts Shirt Works and later at Richmond’s during World War II. Once the war was over, she focused on raising her three kids in the same neighborhood where she grew up with her husband, Fred.
Violet has always been super close with her sisters. In fact, she was still dancing with them until she turned 91! Her daughter, Katherine, shared that they used to go sequence dancing all over Warrington.
Even after a hip replacement, Violet kept on dancing until she had to stop. Now, she’s the proud matriarch of a big family, with four grandkids and six great-grandkids.
Katherine describes her mom as quiet but lively around family. Violet has always been there for her grandchildren, helping out whenever she can.
When people ask Violet about her secret to reaching 100, she just laughs and says there isn’t one. Katherine believes it’s all about enjoying life and having a loving family around her.
Violet is excited to celebrate her birthday with family and friends this weekend. Some guests will be a surprise, and she can’t wait to see everyone. It’s going to be a lovely celebration!
