Michelle Buteau humorously criticized the ‘Today’ crew for posting a makeup photo done by her daughter, calling it a “bad look.”
New York: Comedian Michelle Buteau was on the latest episode of Today With Jenna & Friends. She talked about raising her twins and how her daughter, Hazel, has been doing her makeup.
Jenna Bush Hager mentioned Hazel’s makeup skills, saying, “Not today, because you look gorgeous.” But then the crew shared a photo of Buteau and Hazel with their makeup on.
Buteau laughed and said, “Oh, you guys are so shady.” She looked at the picture of herself in bright pink lipstick and joked, “That is a bad look, you can take it down.”
She continued, “I forget it’s on sometimes, so I answer the door, and everyone’s like, ‘Is this a good time?’ And I’m like, ‘It’s a great time!’ And I have frosted lips.”
Later, they watched an old Herbal Essences commercial that had them both cracking up. Buteau didn’t hold back during their chat, making it super fun.
“It was even better than I remember,” Bush Hager said about the commercial. Buteau quickly replied, “That’s what she said!”
Buteau is one of the guest hosts on the new Today With Jenna & Friends show, following Keke Palmer, Taraji P. Henson, and Eva Longoria.
This new version of the show features different guest hosts as Bush Hager looks for a permanent co-host after Hoda Kotb retired last week.
Henson will be back to co-host tomorrow, and Scarlett Johansson is set to guest host next week.
