Gowanus: A new rendering for 366 Bond Street has just been shared. This project is an eight-story affordable housing complex aimed at seniors. It’s designed by Shakespeare Gordon Studio and will have 121 low-income homes. Plus, there’s a community facility on the ground floor that’s about 25,586 square feet.

The building will be set up in a unique way, with different volumes around two two-story homes on Carroll Street. They’re also keeping a low-rise building at the corner of Bond and 1st Streets. The design features two shades of brown brick and a cool pattern of windows that wrap around the corners. The entrance will be on Bond Street, with a small staircase leading up to it, all under a black canopy. There will be new tree-lined sidewalks around the place, making it look nice.

As for the community facility, it’s set to include office space, an outdoor area, and even a gaming room for residents. If you’re wondering about public transport, the F and G trains are just a short walk away at the Carroll Street station.

We’re still waiting to hear when construction will actually start on this project, but it’s exciting to see plans coming together!
