A recall has been issued for over 300,000 smoke alarms sold on HSN due to safety risks

City: USA: So, here’s the scoop. More than 300,000 smoke alarms sold on HSN are being recalled. They might not alert you when there’s smoke, which is pretty scary.
The US Consumer Product Safety Commission dropped the news on Thursday about around 328,000 Samurai Mini Smoke Alarms. They did some tests and found one that just didn’t work right.
Three61, the company behind these alarms, has heard from eight folks who said their alarms didn’t go off when they should have. Thankfully, no one got hurt.
These alarms, with model number SM1, were sold all over the country from July 2020 to November 2024, and they cost between $40 and $50.
If you have one, don’t panic! Three61 is offering free replacements. Just fill out a form on their website or give them a call or email.
To get your new alarm, you’ll need to write “Recalled” on the old one with a permanent marker and snap a photo. Once you register, they’ll send you a replacement right away.
They also suggest keeping the old alarms up until you get the new ones. Samurai is all about safety and wants to make sure you and your family are protected.
The alarms were sold in packs of one, two, or three and came with everything you need to set them up, like batteries and instructions.
