The Paley Museum is set to launch two Super Bowl exhibits in Manhattan, celebrating iconic moments and players from the Big Game.

New York: The Paley Museum is bringing the excitement of the Super Bowl to Manhattan this month. They’re launching two new exhibits that highlight some of the most memorable moments and players from the Big Game.
The exhibits, titled “The Road to the Big Game: New Orleans” and “Celebrating the Black Heroes of Football’s Biggest Game,” will open on January 24 and run until March 30. There will be special events throughout the exhibit’s duration.
Maureen J. Reidy, the president and CEO of the Paley Center for Media, expressed her excitement, saying the Super Bowl captivates audiences worldwide. She emphasized the unique magic of the event, from the kickoff to the moment the winning team lifts the Vince Lombardi trophy.
One of the highlights will be the Vince Lombardi Trophy and all 58 championship rings from winning teams. There will also be rare artifacts like game balls and uniforms from past Super Bowls, along with over 150 iconic photos.
Fans of the Jets and Giants can look forward to memorabilia from their championship teams. This includes a Jets Super Bowl III ring and a signed ticket from Joe Namath. Giants fans can see the Lombardi Trophy and a game-used football from Super Bowl XLII.
The “Celebrating the Black Heroes of Football’s Biggest Game” exhibit will honor 20 black players who have been named Super Bowl MVPs, along with other trailblazing athletes and coaches. It aims to showcase their impact on the game and how they’ve broken barriers.
In addition to the exhibits, the museum will host special events leading up to Super Bowl 2025 in New Orleans. Members can enjoy a screening of the original Super Bowl I broadcast on February 1, followed by a Madden NFL 25 video game tournament the next day.
This marks the second year the Paley Museum has featured a Super Bowl exhibit. Last year’s showcase included a game-used ball from Super Bowl I and memorabilia from other iconic games.
