Brooklyn: Permits are in for some exciting changes at 1123-1125 Broadway in Bushwick. They’re planning to turn two three-story buildings into four-story mixed-use spots. This area is super convenient, just a hop away from the Kosciuszko Street subway station on the J train.

The new building at 1123 Broadway will be about 40 feet tall and will have over 5,100 square feet of space. Out of that, around 4,650 square feet will be for residential use, while about 457 square feet will be for commercial purposes. They’re looking at seven apartments, likely rentals, with an average size of around 664 square feet. Plus, there’ll be a cellar and a nice rear yard.

Over at 1125 Broadway, they’re planning something similar. This building will also be 40 feet tall, with about 5,185 square feet total. Here, around 4,722 square feet will be residential, and 463 square feet will be commercial. Again, they’re aiming for seven residences, probably rentals, with an average size of about 674 square feet. This one will have a wood-based structure, along with a cellar and a rear yard too.

Lu Ning Architecture is the firm behind the design. Since they’re just expanding upwards, they probably won’t need to tear anything down. No word yet on when the project will be finished, but it’s definitely something to keep an eye on!
