Ranvir Singh interrupted the show to share urgent news about Donald Trump’s election claims and potential legal issues

Los Angeles: So, on Tuesday, Ranvir Singh was doing her thing on Good Morning Britain when she suddenly stopped everything. She had some breaking news to share, and it was a big deal.
She jumped in to talk about Donald Trump and those claims about the 2020 election. Apparently, a new report from the Department of Justice suggested that Trump could have faced some serious trouble for trying to change the election results.
According to this report, if Trump hadn’t won the election in 2024, he might have been convicted for his actions. Special counsel Jack Smith said there was enough evidence to make a case against him.
Ranvir was just chatting about wildfires in Los Angeles when she switched gears to this urgent news. She told viewers that Trump acted illegally in trying to overturn the election results.
She explained that the special counsel, who recently stepped down, had gathered enough evidence to convict Trump, but the case was closed after he won the election.
Jack Smith, the guy who looked into Trump’s actions, had been working on this and another case but has now resigned. He did manage to get some parts of his report released, which landed in Congress early Tuesday.
After the news broke, Trump took to social media to say the prosecutor couldn’t get his case tried before the election, which he claimed he won by a landslide. He ended his post with a bold statement: “THE VOTERS HAVE SPOKEN!!!”
Good Morning Britain airs every weekday on ITV1 starting at 6am, so you can catch all the latest updates there.
