New York: Sean “Diddy” Combs is pushing back against the evidence that prosecutors plan to use against him in his upcoming trial. His legal team filed a response in U.S. District Court, saying they’ve looked at nine videos labeled as “Freak Off” tapes related to a person called “Victim-1.”

They want to get electronic copies of these videos, claiming they show Combs is innocent and that everything was consensual between adults in a long-term relationship. However, a source mentioned that his team can only view the videos with a government representative present and can’t keep them.

Interestingly, these recordings weren’t part of the raids on Combs’ properties last year. Instead, they were held by “Victim-1” and handed over to the government for the investigation. The filing also states that, contrary to what many media reports suggest, the videos don’t show any wild parties or illegal activities. There are no secret cameras, no orgies, no other celebrities, no minors, and absolutely no coercion or violence.

A spokesperson for the U.S. attorney didn’t comment on the matter. Combs faces serious charges, including racketeering and sex trafficking, and he’s currently awaiting trial, set for May 5, while being held at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center.

The trouble for Combs started back in November 2023 when his ex-girlfriend, Casandra “Cassie” Ventura, accused him of physical and sexual assault in a lawsuit. That’s when the “freak offs” were first mentioned. They eventually settled the lawsuit for an undisclosed amount.

Later, CNN aired security footage showing Combs violently attacking Ventura in a hotel hallway back in 2016. He later apologized on social media, taking full responsibility for his actions and expressing his disgust over the incident.
