Kansas City: You won’t believe what happened at a donut shop in KCK! A TikTok video turned things around for Hana’s Donuts, which was having a pretty slow week.

The video, just 50 seconds long, features Andrew Wetschensky and the song “Arms of an Angel” playing in an empty shop. It caught a lot of attention!

Wetschensky shared that he had only a few customers from 5:30 to 7:00 a.m. on a Thursday, and then just one more until 9:00 a.m. The recent snowstorm had really kept people away.

Feeling bored, he decided to make the video, and it ended up bringing in customers from all over, even from places like Overland Park and Bonner Springs.

Over the weekend, they served hundreds of people, making up for a week where they barely broke even. Customers were excited, saying things like, “I saw you on TikTok!”

Hana’s Donuts has been around for nearly 13 years, located right off South 34th Street. Now, thanks to the video, they’re getting noticed nationwide.

Wetschensky mentioned a funny moment when a customer said, “Oh, lonely boy don’t look that lonely anymore.” With all the new faces, he’s definitely not lonely now!

As the video keeps gaining traction online, both Wetschensky and owner Hana Simcak are thrilled. They’re getting asked all the time when the shop is open.

For anyone wondering, Hana’s Donuts is open Wednesday through Sunday, from 5:30 a.m. to noon on weekdays and 6 a.m. to noon on weekends.
