Pittsburg County: Two people have been indicted for their roles in a drug trafficking operation. Vincent Berry, 35, is currently in prison but was allegedly running the show from behind bars. He got help from Jessica Baldwin, a former prison guard, to smuggle drugs into the facility.

Baldwin teamed up with Michael Crawley and Mateaka Mansker to get the drugs. They were all indicted for drug conspiracy, with Baldwin, Crawley, and Mansker facing extra charges for possessing Fentanyl and meth with the intent to distribute.

The investigation kicked off when Baldwin and Crawley were pulled over in April 2024. Cops found a stash of drugs, including Fentanyl and meth, along with cash in their car. Baldwin admitted she planned to bring the drugs into the prison where she worked. They were making good money, too, earning between $400 and $500 for each drug delivery.

Berry, who is serving a life sentence for murder, was the mastermind behind this operation. Text messages from Baldwin’s phone revealed she was in touch with Mansker about drug deals. Investigators also found bank records showing large transactions that linked Mansker to the money used to pay Baldwin. A trial is set for March 3, and it looks like this case is just getting started.
