New York: Wendy Williams is finally speaking out about her conservatorship, which she describes as feeling like a prison. She’s pushing back against claims that she’s experiencing cognitive decline.

In a recent chat on “The Breakfast Club,” Wendy, who’s 60 and from New Jersey, shared how tough things have been for her. She feels trapped in this system and insists she’s not cognitively impaired.

Wendy explained that while she can call friends and family, no one can reach her directly. Her phone number is controlled by her guardian, Sabrina Morrissey. It’s been like this since 2023, and it’s really isolating.

Her niece Alex chimed in, saying Wendy spends all her time in one room without enough sunlight. When Alex visited, she faced intense security checks, which made the experience even more stressful.

Wendy mentioned that she’s spent her last three birthdays alone and described her situation as “emotional abuse.” She’s even lost her cats without being informed and currently has just $15 to her name.

She has to ask for permission to visit her dad in Florida for his 94th birthday, and that request is still pending. Wendy expressed concern about possible retaliation for speaking out, but she felt it was necessary to share her story.

Last year, her care team revealed she was diagnosed with aggressive aphasia and frontotemporal dementia, which they say has left her permanently incapacitated. But Wendy is determined to fight back.
