Whoopi Goldberg emphasizes the role of natural forces in LA fires, urging people to focus on helping rather than blaming.

On “The View,” she pointed out that the hurricane-force winds in Southern California were the real culprits behind the fires. She said, “The winds move things and sparks move things.”
Goldberg, who has lost homes to fires herself, expressed her frustration with the blame game. “It’s nobody’s fault,” she insisted. Instead of pointing fingers, she believes we should focus on how to help those affected.
She made it clear that no amount of water could save 900,000 buildings if they all caught fire at once. “Mother Nature doesn’t care what we want,” she said, emphasizing that these disasters are beyond our control.
Goldberg also shared her personal experience, saying, “My whole neighborhood is gone.” She hopes people will stop blaming others and start thinking about how to support those in need.
As of now, the fires have claimed at least 24 lives, displaced nearly 200,000 people, and burned down 39,000 acres. The city’s leaders are facing scrutiny over their response to this crisis.
