Around 200 students will compete in various events at the JAG conference in Terre Haute this Friday

The event is a great chance for students to show off the skills they’ve been learning all year through the JAG curriculum. They’ll compete in individual events like employability skills, career presentations, and even creative decision-making. There are also group competitions, including business plans and project-based learning.
The experience they gain from JAG is super valuable. It helps them build the tools and connections they need for life after high school. Local employers and community leaders will volunteer as judges, and the winners will move on to the state competition in March.
The Western Indiana Workforce Development Board supports 12 high school JAG programs in the area. Schools involved include Cloverdale, Greencastle, North Putnam, and several others. They also have middle school programs in some of the same towns.
The competition runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday. WorkOne Western Indiana is dedicated to helping workers, employers, and students across several counties. If you want to know more, check out their website or the JAG site for additional info.
