The new podcast will explore the stories of influential figures and their legacies

Atlanta: The Martin Luther King III Foundation and Legacy+ just dropped some exciting news! They’re launching a new podcast called “My Legacy” on January 20, 2025. This series will give us a peek into the lives of some amazing public figures and leaders. Martin Luther King III, along with Arndrea Waters King and the Kielburger brothers, will host the show. It’s set to be part of iHeart’s Sunday Night Podcasts lineup.
What’s cool is that the podcast kicks off on Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Each week, listeners can tune in for deep conversations with stars like Mel Robbins and Dr. Sanjay Gupta. They’ll be joined by someone close to them, like family or friends, to share their journeys and the lessons learned along the way. New episodes will drop every Monday.
Will Pearson from iHeartPodcasts said, “My Legacy” is all about celebrating the moments that shape extraordinary lives. They want to inspire listeners to think about their own impact on the world. Martin Luther King III added that everyone has a story, and sharing those stories helps us connect with one another.
Arndrea Waters King emphasized that the podcast highlights the love and resilience in our lives, reminding us that we all have the power to create a fulfilling life. Plus, this podcast is part of the ‘Realize the Dream’ initiative, which aims to unite and empower communities across the U.S., inspired by Dr. King’s vision for peace and equality.
To celebrate Dr. King’s legacy, iHeartMedia is also giving a $5 million grant to support community service efforts leading up to the 100th anniversary of his birth in 2029. “My Legacy” will be available on the iHeartRadio app and wherever you listen to podcasts, produced by Suzanne Hayward, who has a rich background in media.
